The Medic and Dropship have both returned to be merged into one unit. The Medivac functions very similiar to the Dropship but also has a special ability to Heal. However, the classic Medic infantry will still exist in a few missions for the Terran Campaign.
The Medivac is the carrier of the Terran force. It can carry ground units to places that may not be accessible by land or to avoid an area of enemies. This ship can carry up to eight infantry or even two tanks. Some players build a dozen Medivacs or so, load them up and drop an army behind the enemy base for a surprise ground attack. However unlike the Bunker, if the Medivac is killed, than any onboard units are also lost in the explosion.
This ability can be used to heal infantry or Biological units. Units will be healed for 3 Hit Points for each point of Mana the Medivac has. Unlike most special abilities, Heal is an auto cast ability and Medivacs will begin using it on any nearby damaged units. The Heal will recover units at a rate of 10 Health per second and is very effective at keeping units alive in combat.
Increases the amount of Mana the Medivac deploys with by 25.
Rapid Deployment Tube (Campaign)

The Rapid Deployment Tube allows the Medivac to unload all of its troops instantly. This can be very valuable for Medivacs that frequently deploy troops in hostile locations so all troops can enter the battle at the same time as well as being Healed by Medivacs instantly.

This upgrade will allow Medivacs to Heal 2 different units at the same time. The extra healing could make the difference between several infantry that survive a battle.
