The Queen is a ground unit that has several abilities to expand and maintain the current swarm. The Queen has a decent attack but should be used for emergencies only. It plays a key role in unit reproduction by spawning Larva. Unlike other Zerg units, the Queen gains a 170% Movement Speed bonus while it remains on the Creep.
This ability is available to several Zerg grounds units including the Queen. A Burrowed unit will dig itself into the ground rendering it invisible and cannot be attacked unless a nearby detector unit can spot its location. This ability is great for hiding your injured units to allow them to recover health or for spying at certain locations, such as expansion points or outside enemy bases to track enemy movement.
Spawn Creep Tumor
Build Time: 15
Mana: 25
The Queen builds a Creep Tumor at the selected location. Creep Tumors will expand the Creep surrounding the tumor. The tumors can only be built on existing Creep. Once a Creep Tumor is completely morphed, it will automatically begin expanding Creep around it. A new Creep Tumor can also spawn an additional Creep Tumor only once. The new spawned Creep Tumor can also create another tumor and it is best to let the current Creep Tumor spread the Creep to the maximum radius before planting another one. Creep Tumors will Burrow into the Creep once they have finished morphing and can only be seen by enemies with Detectors.
Spawn Larva
Mana: 25
Range: 1
This ability will spawn 4 Eggs at the selected Hatchery. After about 40 seconds, the Eggs will hatch into Larva. A Hatchery can be targeted multiple times with this ability but only after the Larva Eggs hatch. This allows some Hatcheries to have dozens of Larva active at once and is why the Queen plays a key role in unit reproduction. Hatcheries will not produce additional Larva while it controls more than 2 Larva.
Transfusion
Mana: 50
Health: 125
Range: 7
Instantly heals a Biological unit. Can also be used on Zerg structures.
