Role: Defensive Structure

The Spine Crawler is the Zerg anti ground defensive structure similiar to the classic Sunken Colony. Unlike other Zerg units which tend to be very cheap and weak compared to other races, the Spine Crawler is more powerful than the defensive structures of the Terrans or Protoss. They can deal heavy damage to armored units and although the damage is weaker against light armored attackers, it has some armor to protect itself from small attacks. Several Spine Crawlers can be difficult for a ground force to break through. Unlike other defensive structures, the Spine Crawler is not a detector.
Uproot

Uproots the Spine Crawler allowing it to move to another location. Spine Crawlers will have their health reduced to 100 making them significantly weaker and cannot attack while uprooted. Spine Crawlers gain a 150% Movement Speed bonus while they remain on the Creep.

Root
Cast Time: 12

Roots the Spine Crawler back into the ground. Unlike Uprooting, this process takes some time to complete and is best done out of combat. They must remain on the Creep in order to survive like all Zerg structures.
